MessageMeaningTroubleshooting

This Certify App is registered with another user. Your facial biometrics will be part of this certification. Are you sure you want to continue?

or

Guest Certification - This Certify App is registered with another user. Photos of your face will be taken. Are you sure you want to continue?
The User ID in the Certify QR Code is different than the User ID in the enrollment QR Code that was used to register the app on this phone. The registered User ID is shown on the About screen. This is not an error. It just means a Guest Certification will be performed. The statistic counts will not be updated on this phone because the operation is for a different user.

If the same user that registered the app is seeing this message when they do a Certify operation, it may be caused by a small difference in the user IDs such as upper/lower case (john.doe@email.com vs. John.Doe@email.com), or the absense/presence of a domain prefix (john.doe@email.com vs. www.domain.com/john.doe@email.com). A fix to ignore these minor differences can be made available in the next release of the app.
Certification Failed - Facial recognition on this account requires training before it can be usedThe user cannot perform a Certify operation because they have not gone through the enrollment process to capture a set of photos used for facial recognition.Send the user an enrollment QR code that they should scan with the app to take the required set of photos for the facial recognition server. After successfully enrolling, retry the Certify operation.
Registration Error - This Certify App is already registered with another user.If an app is registered to one user (i.e. Personal Mode), you cannot scan an enrollment QR Code for a different user on that phone. If a new user has not done enrollment yet, they must do so on a newly installed app that has not been registered, or on a phone where the app is in Shared Mode.

If a user has completed enrollment, they can perform a Certify operation on any phone, using an app in Personal or Shared Mode.

An app in Shared Mode can be used by anyone to perform enrollment and by anyone that has completed enrollment (on any phone) to perform a Certify operation.

An app in Personal Mode can only be registered to one user. Other users may borrow that phone to do a Certify, but only if they have already performed enrollment on another phone.
Certification Successful - certification completed for Different UserIf an app is registered to one user (i.e. Personal Mode), and someone with a User ID that is different from the one registered on the phone (as displayed on the About screen), this is the message you will see for a successful certify operation. This is not an error. It just means a Guest Certification completed successfully.

If user performing Certify is the same as the one registered on this app, see explanation about minor User ID differences in the first error message in this document.
